Mesabi Massage POLICIES

 We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

• 24-hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to provide 24-hours advance notice you will be billed for the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
  
• No-shows - anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a no-show. Clients who no-show will be emailed an invoice for the full amount of the session (discounts to not apply for no-show invoices). Any client who no-shows will be flagged on the MassageBook platform until payment has been made in full. Any client with a history of not showing up for an appointment will be required to pre-pay for future sessions.
  
• Late Arrivals - if you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon the time you arrive, your therapist will determine if there is enough time remaining to start a session or if it can be shortened. Regardless of the length of the session provided, you will be responsible for the full cost of session. Out of respect and consideration to your service provider and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time. 

If your session needs to be canceled by Mesabi Massage, we will contact you at least two hours prior to the appointment using the method of contact you used for setting up the session. You will be re-booked for the earliest available time/date within two weeks of the original appointment if possible. If the session cannot be re-booked, your appointment reservation fee will be fully refunded in 48 hours. 

Mesabi Massage cares about customer safety and takes these measures to ensure each of our clients is comfortable and safe:

• Requires all staff to pass a law enforcement background check conducted by the Gilbert Police Department and prove understanding of industry ethics to the owner.
• Requires all therapists to have individual practitioner's insurance.
• Publishes information about what to expect from  massage in the Frequently Asked Questions section of this website.
• Requires all new clients to complete an online intake form with contact and health care information.
• Practices a no tolerance policy for any client who makes sexual advances, engages in conversation of sexual nature or exhibits any sign of suggested or attempted sexual contact during a session.

Additionally, Mesabi Massage will not perform services on any client when alcohol has been consumed or mood altering drugs (prescription or illegal) have been taken prior to the session.

 All Mesabi Massage clients must complete an online intake form which includes individual's contact information, health care information and date of birth. Mesabi Massage does not provide services to anyone under the age of 18 years old.

 All clients are required to complete an online intake form which includes individual's contact information as well as presenting conditions or health care information. Mesabi Massage will only perform pre-natal massage with a signed consent form. We will not perform massage on oncology patients until they have been in remission for a minimum of 12 months or are able to present a doctor's note indicating that massage is appropriate. Clients arriving with symptoms of personal illness such as fever, chills, or those consistent with being sick will be rescheduled for another time at no cost to the client
